About Ellen Wilkinson

  • Biography
Thank you for taking the time to look at my work. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

I'm animal mad, and well probably plain mad, but I'm quite happy with that!

Animals have always been my inspiration and through the years of random jobs and business ventures I have always looked for ways to create beauty in everything I have done.

So I guess that's me, eccentric, creative, and optimistic

Ellen took after her mother and showed artistic flare from a very young age, going on to achieve a GCSE at A* level, however she left formal education and followed her heart into a career with horses. Still her passion for all animals, but horses in particular is a major source of inspiration.

Ellen's first job out of school was as a commercial sculptor, working mostly in wax for toy companies. But it didn't last long as she longed for the great outdoors. Freedom from walls and rules! She worked for several years with horses, but after the birth of her son, decided this line of work was too risky.

She worked for several years as an interior painter and decorator, but always longed to get back to something more creative, so in 2015 she swapped her paintbrushes for some of the more artistic variety!
