Biography
Maurizio Valch is a contemporary abstract artist working in large-scale metaphysical and architectural abstraction. His paintings explore monolithic structures, vertical tension and structural silence, constructing spatial mappings of inner consciousness.
Working primarily in dominant formats such as 120 × 160 cm, Valch develops minimalist symbolic compositions where horizon lines, segmented planes and monumental forms create architectural environments rather than decorative images. His abstraction is not expressive gesture, but controlled spatial structure — a balance between mass, void and contained vibration.
Through monoliths, eclipsed celestial elements and incised interventions, his work investigates presence, absence and the inner architecture of perception.

Presentation of the series Espirales at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Barcelona. The exhibition marked a significant phase in the development of my structural abstraction, consolidating my exploration of archetypal form, spatial rhythm and symbolic architecture. The series examined rotational movement as an interior mapping structure, establishing the transition toward large-scale metaphysical compositions centered on silence, proportion and contained intensity.
