Sophia Shuvalova is a contemporary multidisciplinary fine artist currently exploring classical and folk mythologies using Old Masters drawing and painting techniques. A Fine Art alumni from Norwich University of the Arts Sophia holds a studio at Outpost Studios and lectures in Drawing. She regularly exhibits, both locally and internationally, recently showing at the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts. 'My intuitive multidisciplinary practice combines classical figurative drawing and painting techniques and mediums with contemporary approaches, deconstructive methodologies and cross-disciplinary exploration. I investigates mythological, psychological and philosophical ideas through a focus on the nuanced relationship between subject and object and the endeavoured reconciliation between finality and ephemera'.
