Anastasia Antia is a contemporary artist born in St. Petersburg, Russia, who currently lives and works in Portugal, developing her artistic practice between Cascais and Lisbon. Her early background in engineering shaped an analytical approach to the creative process, allowing her to develop a precise and multilayered visual language. A decisive moment in her career came in 2015, when she devoted herself entirely to oil painting. Anastasia is recognised for her distinctive texture-based technique, characterised by multiple layers, a profound exploration of colour, and expressive surfaces. Her practice explores emotions, inner states, and the dialogue between the visible and the invisible. Each work becomes an autonomous narrative, combining vibrant colour palettes with a strong introspective dimension. Her works are regularly exhibited in galleries in Lisbon and Madrid, including notable exhibitions at the Galeria de Arte do Casino Estoril, Portugal, Harmonia (2023); Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery, USA, 7th Annual “Primary Colors” (2025); and Galería Origen, an art gallery in Madrid, Spain, No Te Lo Pienses (2025). Her paintings have gained an expanding European audience and are held in private collections across several countries. Alongside her exhibition activity, in 2026 Anastasia completed her formal training in sculpture, expanding her artistic practice beyond painting and opening a new dimension in her exploration of form, volume, and material. Today, Anastasia Antia continues to develop her distinctive artistic style, bringing together emotional depth and technical precision. Her works create an atmosphere of contemplation and serenity, inviting the viewer into a deeply personal visual and emotional experience.
