Hi, I’m Lorna.
I’ve always been drawn to creativity, colour, and the way art can make people feel something. For me, painting is about far more than simply recreating a subject—it’s about capturing a mood, an atmosphere, a memory, or a moment that resonates.
Before becoming a full-time artist, I spent more than two decades running my own creative business, where design, visual communication, and craftsmanship were at the heart of everything I did. That experience continues to influence my work today, particularly my love of composition, colour, and attention to detail.
I work primarily in oils on linen canvas and create each painting by hand in my studio. I don’t limit myself to a particular subject matter. Instead, I paint what inspires me, allowing my work to evolve naturally over time. Some pieces begin with a place, some with a feeling, and others simply with a colour combination that captures my imagination.
My goal is always to create artwork that people connect with emotionally—paintings that bring beauty, character, and a sense of joy into a space. I believe original art should feel personal, and I love knowing that my work becomes part of someone’s home and story.
