There is a quiet confidence about a whippet that has always drawn me in. They don’t demand attention—they simply have a presence. That’s what I wanted to capture in this painting.
The dark background strips everything back, leaving nothing to distract from the gentle expression, the graceful lines and the soft light falling across the coat. It’s a portrait of stillness rather than movement, inviting you to pause and look a little longer.
