I began making art about 15 years ago in Damascus while I was a student. After moving to Belgium, I completed my studies and began exhibiting my work professionally. My practice is inspired by natural phenomena, elemental materials, color, and contrast. I am interested in how simple forms and processes can evoke complex experiences and emotions. Through painting, textiles, and mixed-media works, I explore the relationships between material, space, and perception, with particular attention to the physical and emotional impact that an artwork can leave on the viewer's body. Drawing inspiration from geological formations, natural movements, and the passage of time, my work seeks to create moments of contemplation and connection between the viewer and the forces that shape our world.
