My artistic journey began in childhood; I loved painting flowers and meadows. During my teenage years, I focused on anatomy and experimented extensively with strong contrasts. In the two years leading up to my final school exams, I concentrated on art—covering subjects such as architecture and model making, art history, and fashion design—as one of my two main areas of study. Later, I went on to study engineering, following ten years of professional work as an engineer in the automotive industry, most recently in engine development at Mercedes-Benz. In summer 2024, I began my Swan Series, an extensive body of work that eventually grew to more than 90 paintings. The series became a deeply personal exploration of self-worth, identity and the transformation from self-doubt toward genuine self-confidence. The swan became an archetypal symbol of this transformation. Inspired in part by the story of the Ugly Duckling, the series reflects my own journey of learning to recognize my value, to stop making myself small, and to live more authentically. The first swan painting marked an important turning point in my life and opened a period of intense artistic exploration. After completing my Swan Series in December 2025, I reached a point where I was no longer sure what I wanted to paint next. I experimented with several floral works afterwards, I felt that something was missing. I realized that I had reached the limit of my current technical abilities. I wanted to become capable of painting and drawing anything I could imagine. This realization led me to the Milan Art Institute. After discovering the work and teaching of Elli Milan, I was inspired by her artistic approach and decided to enroll in the Online Mastery Program in January 2026. I dedicated approximately 35-40 hours each week to developing my artistic skills. The program allowed me to return to the classical foundations of drawing and painting while simultaneously exploring new techniques and approaches. I deepened my understanding of anatomy, proportion, perspective, light and shadow, color theory, composition and visual structure. I also explored oil and acrylic painting in depth, including traditional techniques such as underpainting, glazing, fat-over-lean, alla prima and chiaroscuro, as well as more contemporary approaches involving mixed media, collage, mark-making, ink, spray paint and abstraction. Most importantly, the program gave me the technical freedom to explore new ideas rather than being limited by what I was able to paint. This period of intensive study became an important bridge between Swan Series and the development of my current artistic direction, including my David Series. I completed the practical component of the program between January and May 2026 and am currently developing my professional portfolio. Towards the end of the practical training, our task was to find our voice and to push our themes within the works. Fascinated by Michelangelo’s David, I began exploring how classical figures could be reinterpreted through a contemporary visual language. This led me to my David Series, which includes monumental figures inspired by classical and mythological. David represents courage, resilience and the ability to overcome challenges through inner strength rather than physical power. I combine classical marble and bronze fiugres with vivid neon color, strong black contours and cosmic backgrounds. Through this contrast I seek to connect timeless art-historical imagery with a contemporary, energetic and almost living presence. My work is deeply connected to questions of identity, transformation, courage and the human search for meaning. My work is ultimately an invitation to face life’s challenges with courage, confidence and hope. I would like to showcase my art on Artfinder to make my work accessible to an international audience of art collectors. My pieces combine personal themes—such as self-worth, transformation, and inner strength—with a contemporary, expressive visual language.
