About Elvira

Elvira Sultanova was born in 1993 in the city of Yekaterinburg, Russia. She started drawing at the age of 7 when she asked her parents to enroll her in a school art studio. Then her creative way began, at that moment the love of painting was born.
After 5 years, she realized that school drawing lessons weren't enough and her friend invited her to go to an art school together. The level of knowledge and teaching there was of course, completely different.
Since then, brushes, paints and pencils have not left her hands.

In my artistic practice, I explore various aspects of life in all its authentic beauty and complexity. I am deeply concerned with finding a balance between the lightness and the complexity of existence, as well as with the timeless values ​​that shape us as individuals—values ​​that guide us as we weave the pattern of our life’s journey, make decisions, and choose our path.
Each of my paintings conveys a specific message to the viewer, inviting them to reflect on their own life journey and on what truly matters to them. I seek to express these ideas through simplicity of form and a lack of excessive detail—elements that symbolize a lighthearted approach to life, simplicity, and trust in God and one’s own path. At the same time, an integral element of every work is the use of patterns or ornamentation; these symbolize the complexity of the human soul and of existence itself, as well as the challenges we encounter throughout our lives. The quest for balance and the exploration of timeless values ​​lie at the heart of my creative work.
Elvira's works are in private collections in the USA, Great Britain, France, the Netherlands, Russia, Germany, China, Japan, Canada, South Africa.
