My printmaking is an extension of my personal explorations into everyday observations and memory. I explores these themes through colour play and mark-making, where each colour layer is a physically repainted positive from an original artwork. My process turns the initial observation into a distilled abstract re-rendering, like a memory of the original. Similar to my printmaking his photography work captures the everyday moments unseen, to explore the story to his composition. My photography practice is all shot on film for its unique disposition to colour as the key motifs. All photographs are self shot, self developed, self scanned and self rendered in the dark room to give beautiful handmade c-type prints.
