About Valentina Abadia Henao
Biography
Born in Cali, Colombia, my formative years were spent in the UK, Spain and France. My passion for art was fostered at an early age, ensuring I always had a medium for creative experimentation.
In 2005, I relocated to USA and studied Fine Arts at Penn State University. It was here that I developed a firm foundation in fine art and art history. While I was able to experiment with sculpture, printmaking, photography and mixed media, my passion always remained with painting and drawing.
Following this I have lived in New York, London, Paris and Barcelona, where I have been able to explore the wide variety of museums and galleries these cities have to offer.
I currently live in Tuixent, a beautiful village in the Catalan Pyrenees, where I work as a Yoga teacher and continue painting.
I am a realist painter, working primarily from photographic references. I love to paint landscapes, portraits. During the last years, I have been working on a series of paintings dedicated to animals that can be found in the area where I live. I want to show the power and beauty of these creatures. I have sold artworks to clients online and have signed onto Artfinder to be able to reach more people worldwide.
