My work emerges from a long journey through the worlds of art direction and design. For more than two decades, painting remained "only" a field of research—shaped by study, sketches, and continuous experimentation—until, in 2012, it became my primary means of expression.
My artistic practice can be divided into two interconnected areas: portraiture and still life on one side, and abstraction on the other.
Portraiture and still life are the languages through which I explore the emotional dimension of life. My interest lies not in storytelling, but in the direct expression of emotion. I define this approach as "vectorial emotions": feelings such as joy, sadness, grief, and happiness distilled to their essence and presented without symbolism or ambiguity.
Abstraction is the other side of the same emotional coin. Marks, brushstrokes, and scratches are not merely formal gestures; they seek to communicate, to evoke, and to reveal rather than simply represent.
Acrylic paint is central to this process. Its clarity and chromatic intensity allow me to create bold, uncompromising planes of color where abstraction and figuration coexist, reinforcing rather than softening emotional presence.
Every work is conceived as an immediate encounter between the artwork and the viewer. If that emotional tension moves beyond the surface of the painting and reaches the observer, then the work has fulfilled its purpose.
