I work under the title Venus Studies.

My focus is on female figures – reduced, direct, and present. I am less interested in narrative than in what remains in the image: face, gaze, posture.

My current works are small-format paintings in acrylic and mixed media on canvas. They are created in a very immediate setting, often at my kitchen table. I am interested in this closeness – working without distance, without studio staging, concentrating on what is essential.

Each piece is a unique work. The paintings are part of an ongoing process rather than a fixed series.

Venus Studies is not about ideal beauty. It is about a different understanding of it – quieter, more concentrated, and not obvious.
