I have been painting for quite a while because of my natural need to create work commenting on social realities. Starting from a long time ago when my work was confiscated and destroyed (in another country) because it featured forbidden subjects and revealed the truth about events and people, and I became a refugee. Art historian Panofsky's publications, works which I was trained on, deliver a trove of information on how visual interpretation is possible based on historical works. Classical painter training in Europe consisted, in large part, not only of material techniques but also of reading the subjects and reality of the painter who created them in historical time. This traditional education gives the artist the ability to take on any subject and deliver an image, enabling public understanding. A little bit of understanding of psychology gives the artist "better mileage" and the ability to take on bigger subjects and visually more interesting interpretations.
