create expressive figurative paintings and ceramic sculptures centred on women’s inner lives. My work explores freedom, ageing, companionship and the strength found in everyday gestures. I am drawn to figures whose expressions and posture suggest a story without revealing everything.

In my paintings, textured surfaces, layered colour and expressive marks bring faces and bodies into dialogue with their surroundings. Some works hold moments of solitude or reflection; others celebrate humour, defiance and the freedom to live beyond expectations.

My ceramic sculptures extend these interests into three dimensions, exploring the relationship between the human figure, texture and form. Working across painting and sculpture allows me to approach the same emotions in different ways.

Each piece is individually made. I want viewers to spend time with these figures and discover something that connects with their own experience.
