My work explores color, movement, light, memory, and the continuous transformation of abstract form. Over six decades of artistic development, my paintings have evolved through many periods of experimentation, culminating in the Waterfront works and the more recent Parallels Series.

I work primarily with acrylics, metallic and fluorescent pigments, using wide spatulas and palette knives to build layered fields of color and movement. Rather than creating a fixed image, I allow forms to develop through tension, contradiction, rhythm, and gradual revelation.

Light is an important element in my paintings. As illumination and viewing conditions change, colors and relationships within the composition can shift, allowing the artwork to reveal something different with each encounter.

For me, abstraction is a dialogue between the painting and the viewer. Each work reflects memory, emotion, experience, and a lifelong search for beauty through color and form.
