Biography
Yana Dulger is a contemporary Ukrainian artist, born in 1983 in Storozhynets, Ukraine. She graduated from the Vyzhnytsia College of Applied Arts named after V. Y. Shkriblyak in 2004, and later received her degree in Fine and Decorative Arts from Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University.
From 2002 to 2017, she worked as a teacher at the Center for Children and Youth Creativity in Storozhynets. In 2023–2026, she taught painting and drawing at the Chernivtsi Professional College of Technology and Design.
Alongside her teaching career, Dulher developed her artistic practice within the language of Impressionism, incorporating elements of Expressionism, as well as working in watercolor.
Since 2026, her work has shifted toward contemporary art, with a particular focus on metamodernism. Her practice engages with themes of trust and self-discovery, explored through figurative imagery and corporeality, balancing emotional sensitivity with a search for inner states.
She works primarily in easel painting, using acrylic, oil, and mixed media. Her works have been exhibited and collected internationally, and are held in private collections across the United States, Hong Kong, Italy, Poland, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, Austria, Indonesia, and beyond.
