About Stefano Compagnucci

Biography

I am an art photography professor at two academies in Rome and a minimalist fine art photographer. My work explores the pure essence of matter—wood, stone, and discarded objects—stripping away human noise. I shoot exclusively on analog film, predominantly in the studio but often outdoors as well. Regardless of the location, I approach every shoot like a film set, with meticulous attention to detail and an absolute obsession with light. I use B&W fine art printing as an ethical and aesthetic choice to reveal deep textures and eliminate visual distraction. I keep my editions strictly limited, usually to just 5 copies. I am applying to Artfinder to connect with collectors who appreciate photography not just as an image, but as a physical, tactile object with its own profound silence
