Artworks by Fiona Craig

My main subjects are florals and landscapes, painted or drawn in oils, acrylics, pastels and watercolours. Living most of my life near forest, the natural environment and gardens throughout the seasons provide my inspirations. I prefer large canvases, as they present more dramatic images, but I enjoy producing smaller artworks in between making the major pieces. Broadly speaking, my style is 'contemporary realism', photo-based but with expressive brushstrokes and some 'artistic license' that makes a painting an artwork rather than just an imitation of a photograph.
