Biography
Working across drawing, painting, photography and mixed media, my practice explores multi-sensory perception and its vast possibilities. The driving force of my work is to challenge human-centered logic by reshaping the established boundaries of our intellectual systems. Through this lens, I explore themes of self-knowledge, bodily awareness, the conditions of existence, and the complex relationships between subject, space, and territory.
Born and raised in Harbin, China, I am deeply influenced by my hometown's extreme climate. The six-month winter transforms the environment into a minimalist landscape of profound subtext, where transitions—such as hearing the thaw before seeing the water—instilled a lifelong focus on latent environmental phenomena, made me acutely sensitive to the invisible aspects of our world.
Completing my graduate studies in Tokyo University of the Arts (JP) following research into aesthetics and epistemology, my polyphonic practice has evolved to cultivate a visceral sense of coexistence. This artistic philosophy mirrors my passion for sustainability, conservation, animal rights, and rewilding.
Recognized as one of the 100 Emerging Artists in Japan in 2021, I published my first photography book in 2022. My current practice intersects with contemporary publishing, featuring cover art for SHUEISHA’s five-volume Chinese Contemporary Literature Gallery (2026–2027).
