My paintings are built up with loose layers of mark making, pattern and texture - created with a variety of tools and inspired by whatever catches my eye or captures my imagination. These unrestrained layers then give way to a more considered approach as I work towards completing the artwork.

I’m interested in colours, patterns and textures created by the weathering of materials and more recently I have been combining the surfaces that I create with my love of the freedom of wide open landscapes.

I primarily use acrylic paint on MDF or wood panels.

I also use photography, illustration and collage to create limited edition screen prints. All prints are designed and hand-printed by me, using non-toxic, water-based inks on high quality watercolour paper.
