I came to photography through a long-standing fascination with form and structure, and with how their aesthetic presence is constantly shaped by light, perspective, and the moment of observation. My early experience working in traditional darkrooms instilled a deep appreciation for the discipline of editing and the lasting impression of a finished print. Those foundations continue to guide how I work today. I am particularly drawn to architecture—not simply as subject matter, but as composition with endless potential. I spend time with buildings looking for moments where structural details become abstract: repeating rhythms, subtle curves, compressed perspectives, and transitions between light and shadow. Rather than depicting whole forms, I often focus on fragments, allowing familiar spaces to feel quieter and slightly removed from their original context. Living and working in environments defined by strong light and dramatic forms has reinforced my commitment to photography as an art form. My approach is driven by an obsessive attention to detail, with the understanding that the final image is worth the extra effort. Working primarily in black and white allows me to strip away distraction and concentrate on geometry, surface, and spatial tension. Whether photographing exterior façades or interior passages, I approach each image as a study in balance—between control and ambiguity, stillness and movement. Ultimately, my work is about seeing architecture differently. I want the images to invite sustained looking and offer a contemplative experience—one in which buildings are encountered not as background or spectacle, but as quietly expressive and emotionally resonant forms.
