I am interested in the moment when a painting stops being an image and begins to feel like a memory, even if it belongs to someone you have never known. My figures, interiors and landscapes often seem to exist between what has already happened and what is still about to happen. I want the viewer to enter that space and complete the story.

I work in oil, building each painting slowly through layers of color, texture, revision and intuition. A gesture, a face caught in a particular light, a worn surface or a distant figure in a landscape can become the beginning of an entire world. I am not interested in simply reproducing reality. I am searching for the emotional trace it leaves behind.

History, travel and everyday life continually enter my work, where elegance can coexist with imperfection, stillness with anticipation, and beauty with the passage of time.

For me, a painting is never completely finished by the artist. Its final chapter belongs to the person who chooses to live with it.
