Art has always been in my blood - I love creating and I find art gives me a sense of freedom and a true form of escape. It's such a thrill to create something from a blank canvas, both in terms of the pure enjoyment of painting and risk taking required – there’s always some degree of jeopardy involved along the journey to keep me on my toes! I paint in acrylics which lend themselves to expressive brushstrokes and layers of detail given the quick drying time. I especially enjoy working on larger pieces as the freedom and boldness can be exaggerated to great effect. Alongside personal enjoyment in creating, it’s such a pleasure to know that my art has had a reaction from buyers and to be able to brighten up peoples’ homes and workplaces with art. I'm particularly drawn to the structure and elegance of flowers and many of my paintings celebrate the power and beauty of flowers bursting into bloom. Originally from Manchester, I’m now based in North London, and my work has been shown in exhibitions and galleries across the UK. I am represented by a number of UK galleries and take I'm an active member of various local and International Art Organisations.
