  • Biography
    Art has always been in my blood - I love creating and I find art gives me a sense of freedom and a true form of escape. It's such a thrill to create something from a blank canvas, both in terms of the pure enjoyment of painting and risk taking required – there’s always some degree of jeopardy involved along the journey to keep me on my toes! I paint in acrylics which lend themselves to expressive brushstrokes and layers of detail given the quick drying time. I especially enjoy working on larger pieces as the freedom and boldness can be exaggerated to great effect. Alongside personal enjoyment in creating, it’s such a pleasure to know that my art has had a reaction from buyers and to be able to brighten up peoples’ homes and workplaces with art. I'm particularly drawn to the structure and elegance of flowers and many of my paintings celebrate the power and beauty of flowers bursting into bloom. Originally from Manchester, I’m now based in North London, and my work has been shown in exhibitions and galleries across the UK. I am represented by a number of UK galleries and take I'm an active member of various local and International Art Organisations.

    A group exhibition as part of the Hertfordshire, UK wide Artists Open Studios Event. A group of artists will host a pop-up exhibition to showcase and sell their artwork.

    Event: Big Art Fair

    Dates: 23 Jun 2023 - 25 Jun 2023

    Venue: Hitchin Town Hall, Hitchin, Hertfordshire

    The Big Art Fair is an annual event of the Hertfordshire Visual Art Group. The Hitchin Town Hall transforms into an art exhibition space with original paintings, prints, ceramics, jewellery and lots more on sale direct from the artists. The fair runs from 23rd to 25th June 2023.

    Dates: 17 Jun 2023 - 18 Jun 2023

    Venue: Harpenden Common, Harpenden

    Established over 30 years ago, Art on the Common in Harpenden is Hertfordshire’s premier outdoor art event. It takes place in a wonderful location on a tree lined section of the Common close to the Town Centre.
    The two day event showcases the very best of local art including paintings, ceramics, fine art, photography, sculpture, fabrics, jewellery, glass, wood and handmade greeting cards. The low cost of exhibiting makes this an ideal event for artists to test the market in a relaxed, friendly environment.

    Dates: 28 Apr 2023 - 1 May 2023

    Venue: 31st Kimpton Art Show, Kimpton, Hertfordhshire

    The Kimpton Art Show is an exhibition and sale of artwork from over 100 artists and forms a major feature of the Kimpton May Festival weekend.

    Kimpton Art Show takes place in the Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul, a Grade I listed building situated on a hill overlooking the village with spectacular views across the Mimram Valley to the east of the village.
