  • Biography
I came to the UK in 1997, and happily lived in London until recently when we moved down to Kent.  I worked for a long time in the fashion industry but eventually returned to painting in order to find the work/life/family balance everyone is after.
I like the unexpected, sometimes putting things together that are unlikely to cross paths or looking at things from quirky angles, I really love painting water, it transports me back to a childhood spent in and out of the water! My paintings are created slowly, often starting from unexpected colours to breathe life into flesh (people or animals). When you look at anything created by nature it is never just one colour, it is always made up of lots of textures and shadows and flashes of light. I try to recreate this multilayered effect, building up colour to get the look I am after.
