frumafar. was founded by Mariko Ebata, a textile designer who explores colour and texture through fabric.
Inspired by the colours and textures found and enjoyed in everyday life, frumafar. creates hand-painted fabric panels that express these elements in a simple yet meaningful way.
Each piece is painted by hand directly onto shifu (Japanese paper cloth), allowing the natural character of the fabric to shine through and giving every work its own unique expression.
Through its work, frumafar. hopes to offer a quiet moment of calm and invite viewers to discover their own feelings and interpretations through colour.
