I create art as a way to communicate ideas, emotions, and experiences that are difficult to express in words. As a Japanese artist based in Massachusetts, I am inspired by nature, architecture, and quiet everyday moments—especially changing light, reflections, and the atmosphere of a place. Having lived across different cultures, I aim to create work that feels both personal and universal.
I want to sell on Artfinder to share that experience with others and bring original art into people’s everyday lives. I hope my work offers moments of calm, reflection, and connection while allowing me to continue growing as an artist.

Echoes of Quiet Landscapes
Dates:
1 Jul 2026 - 31 Aug 2026
Venue:
The Public Library of Brookline - Putterham Library, 959 W Roxbury Pkwy, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467
This solo exhibition by Japanese artist Sayaka Minegishi presents a collection of paintings inspired by quiet moments in nature and the emotions they carry. Through watercolor, oil, and acrylic works depicting rivers, waterfalls, gardens, forests, and changing light, the exhibition explores how landscapes can become spaces for reflection, memory, and connection. Influenced by experiences across different cultures and places, each piece captures not only the appearance of a scene but also its atmosphere—the feeling of standing beside moving water, walking through filtered sunlight, or finding stillness in everyday moments. Together, these works invite viewers to slow down, observe closely, and reconnect with the gentle beauty that often goes unnoticed.
