Biography
Malcolm Ludvigsen is a plein-air oil painter: he paints outside, directly in front of the subject, both winter an summer. This gives his work life and vibrancy much lacking in studio painting. It is said that one brushstroke in nature is worth twenty in the studio, and Malcolm's work is a good example of this. He is best known for his Yorkshire seascapes and landscapes. His work is in galleries and private collections throughout the world, particularly in the UK and the USA. He is a winner of the Oldie, £5000, British Art Prize.
When not painting, Malcolm is a professor of mathematics specialising in general relativity.
