My name is Veaceslav Salaru, and I’m an artist based in Dublin, originally from Moldova. I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember, it’s always been something natural to me, not just a hobby but a way I understand and connect with the world around me. I specialise in realistic art because I’ve always been fascinated by detail, how light falls, how expressions change, how small things can completely transform a piece. I like challenging myself to make my work feel as real and alive as possible. At the same time, I enjoy working with different mediums, as each one lets me express ideas in a slightly different way. Moving from Moldova to Ireland has definitely shaped me, both as a person and as an artist. Experiencing different places and cultures has changed how I see things, and I think that comes through in my work. I’m inspired by everyday life, people, moments, and details that might go unnoticed but still hold a lot of meaning. What really drives me to create is the feeling I get during the process. There’s something very personal about taking an idea or a moment and turning it into something real. I also love the idea that someone else can look at my work and connect with it in their own way. I want to sell my work on Artfinder because I’d love to share what I create with a wider audience and be part of a community that supports independent artists. For me, it’s not just about selling, it’s about knowing that something I made can end up in someone’s space and actually mean something to them.
