A plein air landscape of late autumn, painted from life in the artist's neighborhood in Minneapolis. Painted in Oil over Casein on canvas. The landscape features a variety of autumn colors. In the center is a smokebush in shades of orange and bronze. Beneath it is a row of Burning Bush with leaves in shades of bright red, rose, and yellow. To the right is a ginkgo with pale yellow and gold leaves, and to the left, a bare birch with bronze and white bark. The scene is set against a rich, clear blue sky and green grass. This painting was created with both brush and palette knife, and has a thick texture and touches of brass and bronze metallic paint. The paint splatters in the background give an atmospheric texture of autumn breezes and flying leaves. Framed in a 3" wide wood framed with a mahogany colored finish. May be purchased unframed by request.
