“Equilibrium” explores a fragile balance between vulnerability and inner strength, nature and psychological resilience. Surrounded by a rhythmic field of white lilies — symbols of transition and purity — the central figure becomes a point of tension rather than repose. A luminous blue sphere concentrates light and meaning, functioning as a contemporary emblem of inner core, responsibility, or planetary wholeness. Borodina structures the composition with icon-like frontality and compressed space, transforming realism into contemplative symbolism and inviting a direct, silent dialogue with the viewer. Here, childhood is not innocence alone, but a threshold state where identity is formed and symbolic weight first emerges. “Equilibrium” proposes balance not as calm, but as an actively sustained condition — a moment of psychological and spiritual poise within a shifting world.

This work was recently exhibited in Manchester (UK) by the Comme Ca Art gallery. Ideal for collectors of figurative, religious, spiritual, and children's portraits.

Artist Impressions:
In this series, I explore the palette of emotional states a person encounters in childhood by depicting images of young girls and boys. The portrait of a child—its clothes, posture, gestures, facial expressions, and surroundings—should form a unity that evokes the viewer's personal childhood experience.
