April Showers (2026) Original Collage by Mia Hague

28 x 23 x 2cm (framed) / 24 x 19cm (actual image size)

£300

An original made using acrylic paint and my own collage elements on top. Sealed for longevity.
I love creating images of cottage/bothys/crofts in wild landscapes, inspired by my motherland of Wales.

I kept the colour pallet muted and moody on this one and I like how it feels there is something brewing.

I like to create 'liveliness' in my artworks so I leave in smudges and I like to scratch the foliage at the front so it looks like it's moving.

I always create a story for the people living in the cottages and think of them when I create the paintings.

I've framed this one in a dark oak, rounded edge frame. To complete the picture not distract from it.
I've taken real photographs of the work, not mock ups, so you can really see what you're getting. I love making and framing each and every one.

My work isn't polished. It's rustic and wild and I hope to create you a whole piece of original finished art, to add to that nook or empty wall space. Something different and curious that makes you feel something.
