"Reading Between the Lines" is an abstract painting built from repeated bands of color and visible brushstrokes of different widths, creating a surface that feels rhythmic, layered, and quietly expressive. Olive greens, earthy browns, rust, creams, black, and muted yellows come together in a warm, grounded palette that feels both sophisticated and comforting.

Painted intuitively, the work balances structure with irregularity. The repeated marks create a sense of order, while the slight shifts in color, spacing, and brushstroke width keep the painting feeling alive.

For me, this piece is about finding calm through repetition and allowing small changes to build into something larger. It feels reflective, meditative, and slightly nostalgic, like looking back at scattered moments and realizing they belong together.

The painting can be displayed either horizontally or vertically, giving it a very different energy depending on the space. Hung horizontally, it feels broader and more landscape-like. Hung vertically, it becomes more architectural, almost like a woven textile or tapestry. Either way, it is designed to bring warmth, rhythm, and a strong sense of presence to a room.

Medium: Acrylic paint on gallery grade canvas.

Signed Certificate of Authenticity.

The artwork was painted on un-stretched Italian cotton canvas, with a 8 cm border left for stretching onto a canvas frame. This artwork is shipped rolled in a tube for safe international delivery and can be affordably stretched at your local framing store.
