Radiance (2026) Original Oil Painting by Joanna Farrow

On a bright sunny day in early spring, the sunlight can infuse the forest with a dazzling depth of vivid green which is how I wanted to describe this landscape. I have used yellowish greens against a deep, dark olive green for the shaded areas. My brushwork is generally loose with minimal areas of detail, such as on the tree trunks. I've used a deep sided canvas so the painting is set forward from the wall enough not to need a frame. However the painting could be framed if preferred.
