Sunset (Framed) (2026) Linocut by Kirstie Dedman

Sunset is a small reduction linocut of a glowing sunset over green hills. This piece is entirely made by hand using the reduction linocut technique. One block is repeatedly carved and printed entirely by hand to slowly build the image. Once the image has been created, no more can be reproduced. Everything is done entirely by human hand.

In this piece, the printed area is 10cm by 10cm. The frame size is 23.5cm x 23.5cm. The frame is green painted wood. It is printed using artist-quality water-based inks and is printed on heavyweight Somerset printing paper.

The paper is off-white, which is echoed by the double mounting and the frame is the green of the hills. UV acrylic is used instead of glass to protect the artwork and it is ready to hang.
