''Brighton Pier Lights' is an original linocut, using a two-block reduction method, by fine art printmaker Kirstie Dedman.

Inspired by a visit to Brighton and the multicoloured lights of the pier, night has fallen, the dog walkers have given way to partygoers and those seeking fun at night. This is version two (vii) with a blended roll depicting the night sky bright blue near the lights going towards black in the night sky.

This print is completely hand-made. The image is drawn onto a block of lino in reverse. Then parts are cut away and inked and printed to reveal the final image. This print was printed with two blocks. The background night sky was printed using one block and the foreground in a separate block.

The print is created using light-safe artist-quality water-based inks, which have a wonderful matt finish. This works well with the textured Fabriano paper.

The image size is 20.3cm by 15.2 cm and the paper size is 26.5cm by 21.5cm
