Inspired by rain, and also by the Pantone color of the year for 2014, Radiant Orchid.

It took me nearly a week to paint.
<p>
The canvas was stretched by me, using brass tacks. The canvas itself was sent to me from England by a friend.
<p>
I use high-quality paints: the pigments I choose are exclusively I or II on the lightfastness scale, which means the colors are permanent and won't deteriorate in sunlight.
