In this piece, I confront the hollow silence of unread messages and the sting of unreciprocated effort. Through a solitary silhouette against a vast, brooding blue, I’ve captured the moment realization sets in—that I have been a dreamer anchored to a ghost. The vibrant shock of pink against the dark foreground serves as a visual plea for a presence that was never truly there. By leaving the background expansive and undefined, I am illustrating the void left by words unsaid and the isolation of being "led on." This work is my personal journey through the transition from hope to departure. It is a quiet, final statement on reclaiming one's dignity from the debris of a one-sided connection. I am taking what remains of my spirit and choosing to vanish from a space where I was never truly seen or wanted.
