I recently purchased a painting by the artist Emmanuel Akolo titled ‘Behind me’, which is a stunning study in solitude and reflection. It evokes both longing and freedom. Accompanying the piece is a poem titled the same that I believe the artist wrote, and it perfectly heightens the painting’s sense of introspection. What a beautiful compliment to this work.
