Photos from the Friends of the Earth Great British Bee Count launch!
The artworks were selected by interior designer and TV personality Jo Wood for exhibition at My Chelsea Hotel, London for the launch of Friends of the Earth's Great British Bee Count. The launch is on 26th May.
I created this painting especially for Artfinder's partnership with environmental charity Friends of the Earth to work on a bee-themed art exhibition for the launch of their Great British Bee Count.
These jars of honey of different colours represent the diversity of bees. The amber and gold colours revealed by the sunlight give to the honey the aspect of a precious substance.
This honey is harvested by my neighbour beekeeper. It is all the more precious as numerous swarms disappear every year. My neighbour is soon going to stop his activity.
This still life is painted “alla prima” from life and in natural light.
This painting is painted with professional grade oil colors on a primed canvas. I prepare myself my canvases to create a texture specific to my painting needs and to insure them maximum longevity.
