_______
Seascape of Brittany, France.
Faced with the steep reliefs of Cape Sizun, I sought to capture the monumentality of this landscape.
Under a clear sky, the rock is sculpted in an almost theatrical manner: on one side, the facets of the granite are illuminated with light grey, warm ochres, and the vibrant greens of the moorland clinging to the stone; on the other, deep shadows, tinged with violet and cobalt blue, carve into the relief, revealing the sheer architecture of the cliff and drawing the eye downward.
Below, the ocean unveils its full chromatic richness. The dense, deep indigo of the open sea contrasts with the emerald and turquoise transparency bordering the reefs, where the surf traces lines of white foam in perpetual motion.
Through this painting, I aimed to convey the feeling of serene vertigo that one experiences when facing the immensity of this coastline.
