Seascape of Brittany, France.

The climate of Cap Sizun often brings these milky skies. The diffused light softens the intrinsic violence of the granite. It does not crush the rock; it infiltrates it, revealing its crevices without hardening them, while casting a gentle glow on the distant hillside, lending it warm, rosy hues that feel almost flesh-like.

And then, there is this luminous event: where the water is shallow, shielded by the great rock, the light strikes the seabed and rises back toward us, making a nearly surreal emerald green vibrate with life.

Far from the spectacular, I sought the intimate here: that enveloping softness of the Breton light which, in a single motion, poetizes the harshness of the stone and unveils the hidden transparency of the sea.
