What inspired me for this painting is the energy of this Breton coastline, where earth and sea meet under a sky of infinite softness. Through the stretching of the shore, the foam, and the sky, I wanted the viewer to feel the scent of the sea spray and the crash of the surf, while experiencing a luminous serenity.
At our feet, the shore of sand and pebbles leads to a chaos of dark rocks, sculpted and fractured by time. Just behind, the ocean unveils its movement through successive waves crashing into white foam.
Above this wild agitation, the sky, though filled with heavy cumulus clouds, retains a serene clarity.

Materials used:

This painting is painted with professional grade oil colors on a primed canvas. I prepare myself my canvases to create a texture specific to my painting needs and to insure them maximum longevity.
