Do not be fooled by the apparent tranquility of this landscape: this corner along the banks of the young Loire conceals a striking vitality that draws me back with each return of spring. Everything here is a matter of restless movement and contrasts.

The scene is anchored by the roughness of the rocky shore in the foreground. Beneath our feet, the pebbles ring out, bleached and warmed by the morning light. Then, just a few meters away, the stone gives way to the river's tumult. Here, the Loire is still wild and restless. The water is in constant vibration, a churning current that breaks over the shallows into a myriad of shifting reflections.

Finally, on the far bank, the true spectacle of the landscape bursts forth. It is the sudden surge of a mountain spring: an explosion of soft green foliage, bursting with sap, standing in stark contrast against the purplish branches of the tall trees that still carry the memory of winter.
