About Samira Malik

Biography

I am a self-taught photographer and have always been drawn to the creative — drawing, pottery and, of course, photography. There is nothing I love more than a sparkling sea and it is this passion that inspired Seafoam Atelier: a celebration of the sea, atmospheric light and scenes that capture that elusive feeling of freedom. Photography allows me to preserve those moments and share them with others. I founded Seafoam Atelier in early 2026 from a desire to create and share photographs that bring a sense of calm, connection and appreciation for everyday beauty. Many of my photographs are taken during my travels across the UK, Europe and beyond, inspired by the sea, architecture, light and the stories attached to a place. I am particularly interested in creating images that evoke a feeling rather than simply documenting a location. Other photographs arise from everyday moments that reveal themselves in an unexpected way and simply demand to be captured and remembered. Each print begins with one of my original photographs and is produced as a fine art giclée print using archival materials and specialist UK printers. I care deeply about quality and am involved in every stage of the process, from selecting the image and carefully editing and proofing it, to overseeing its production on Hahnemühle German Etching archival paper. I would value the opportunity to sell on Artfinder because it is a platform that celebrates and empowers independent artists while helping collectors discover original work from around the world. As a small independent business, I would welcome the opportunity to connect directly with people who appreciate photography and who are looking for artwork with a story behind it. My hope is that my photographs will bring a sense of place, memory and beauty into the homes of those who collect them, as a journey remembered, a feeling of calm and happiness or simply a beautiful scene needed to be seen again and again.
