Artwork description
Perched high above the Mediterranean, the limestone cliffs of Bonifacio offer one of the Corsican island's most striking perspectives. I photographed these scenes on a bright and hot afternoon as sunlight illuminated the layers of turquoise water below, revealing the movement of the sea as it surged around the ancient rock formations.
From this elevated viewpoint, the coastline becomes an abstract composition of colour, texture and motion. The contrast between the brilliant blues of the Mediterranean and the pale limestone cliffs captures the raw beauty of Corsica's southern coast—a landscape shaped over thousands of years by wind, sea and time.
My work is inspired by a love of the sea, atmospheric light and a combination of those that evoke a feeling of freedom.
