Summer 2016 I focused on a series of smaller paintings with a goal of expression and brevity. Several were portraits, a few abstracts, as well as a group that clung together out of a shared arid and ancient tone. As always I'm allowing the image to develop organically. This is the first of those paintings.
Painted on a Masonite panel and framed with a simple wood edge frame.
