The Meet 1 (2022) Original Charcoal Drawing by SBBoursot

£1,114.62

A well dressed woman walks towards a passageway in a city. In the shadows of that passageway, a young man stands against a wall and looks in her direction.

One in a series, depicting a scene in which 2 people meet. Each meeting may be intended, unintended, felicitous, romantic, vexatious, sad, fleeting moments where the people don’t know each other, or even stalking. Ambiguity and mystery is deliberate for the viewer to add their own story to these almost cinematic scenes. Works in this series achieved Finalist status in the VAA Professional Artist Award 2023 and awarded "Highly Commended Exhibitor".

Drawn with an abstract realism style, giving a modern presentation of each scene.
Charcoal on stretched linen, wood support, with side tacks. All charcoal works are sprayed with several coats of fixative. Hooks and wire added to back for hanging before sending.
