Part of the Emergence series, Sleepwalk explores the space between awareness and dreaming, presence and absence. Emerging through layers of colour, texture and fluid mark-making, the figure appears suspended in a state of quiet transformation.

Passages of luminous green, violet and blue shift across the surface, partially revealing and obscuring the face. Rather than depicting a specific individual, the painting invites personal interpretation, reflecting those moments when memory, emotion and imagination become intertwined.

Sleepwalk is rooted in my fascination with the unseen aspects of human experience and the idea that we are always more than we appear to be. The work offers a sense of stillness and mystery, encouraging the viewer to pause and explore what lies beneath the surface.
